About Allen
Allen is a lifelong Democrat, a US Army Veteran, and a dedicated public servant with 30 years of Law Enforcement experience.
Born and raised in the San Luis Valley, Allen has called Pueblo home for decades. He raised five children here with his wife, and now all four of his grandchildren call Pueblo county home.
Allen served with the US Army and the Army Reserves from 1985 through 1993, and was an employee with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years, from 1995 until 2023, including 25 years as a Sergeant.
Allen has proven fiscal responsibility, having saved taxpayers $50,000 during the COVID-19 pandemic by streamlining important sheriff’s office responsibilities.
Allen is currently a parole officer for the Colorado Department of Corrections, and recently marked his thirty-first year as a law enforcement professional.
